Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
1. Who we are
Crew Medya Anonim Şirketi ("Crew Medya", "we", "us"), a company established in Türkiye, is the developer and publisher of the mobile game UP!Terra (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you play the App and when you visit this website, and the choices you have.
For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), the data controller is Crew Medya Anonim Şirketi. You can contact us about anything in this policy at support@crewmedya.com.
Türkçe sürüm / Turkish version: Gizlilik Politikası ve Aydınlatma Metni. For users in Türkiye, the Turkish version prevails.
2. At a glance
- Your game progress is saved on your device. Online features additionally store some data on game servers, as described below.
- Signing in with Google or Apple is optional. If you play without signing in, an anonymous player ID may be created to operate online features.
- If you join the leaderboard, your display name and score are visible to other players.
- We use Unity for game services and analytics, and Google AdMob for ads (with your consent where required).
- Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or the App Store — we never see your card or bank details.
- You can request deletion of your account and data at any time via our data deletion page.
- Some features described here (such as ads, purchases or sign-in) may not be present in every version of the App.
3. Information we collect
a. Information you provide
- Account information. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a basic account identifier and, depending on your choices with the provider, your name and email address. With "Sign in with Apple" you can use Apple's option to hide your real email address.
- Display name. The nickname you choose for leaderboards. It is visible to other players — please do not use your real name or other personal details.
- Support messages. Anything you send us by email, including your email address.
b. Information collected automatically
- Device information and identifiers: a randomly generated installation ID, a player ID, device identifiers (such as IDFV on iOS, and the advertising ID — AAID/IDFA — where your settings and consent allow), device model, operating system version and language.
- Approximate location: a country/region-level location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise (GPS) location.
- Usage data: gameplay events such as levels played, sessions, progression and feature usage.
- Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data.
- Purchase history: records of in-app purchases (product, time, transaction identifier). Payment itself is processed entirely by Google Play or the App Store; we never receive your card or bank details.
- Advertising data: ad impressions and interactions, handled by our advertising partner (see Section 6).
c. Information stored only on your device
Your local game save (tower progress, city, settings) is stored on your device and is not transmitted to us. Deleting the App or clearing its data deletes this information.
4. How we use information
- To operate the App and its online features (accounts, leaderboards, saving service data);
- To understand how the game is played and improve it (analytics);
- To show ads and measure their performance (see Section 6);
- To process and restore in-app purchases;
- To provide player support;
- To keep the game fair and secure (e.g., preventing cheating and abuse);
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases (GDPR / KVKK)
- Performance of a contract: operating the game and its features you use (accounts, leaderboards, purchases).
- Consent: personalized advertising and, where required, analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time in the App's settings without affecting gameplay.
- Legitimate interests: basic functionality, security, fraud and cheat prevention, aggregate statistics.
- Legal obligation: keeping records we are required to keep (e.g., transaction records).
Processing under Turkish law is carried out on the corresponding legal grounds in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK; see the Turkish disclosure text.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC) and its advertising partners. Ad serving may use your device's advertising ID and ad interaction data.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: when you first launch the App you will see a consent form. If you do not consent to personalized ads, non-personalized ads may be shown instead. You can change your choice at any time from the App's settings ("Privacy options").
- On iOS: the App asks for permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before using your device identifier for tracking purposes. If you decline, you will see non-personalized ads.
- Device-level controls: iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads (delete or reset your advertising ID).

7. Analytics and game services (Unity)
The App is built with the Unity engine and uses Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies) for player accounts, leaderboards and analytics. Unity processes this data on our behalf as our processor: installation and player identifiers, device information, IP address and approximate location, session and gameplay events, and diagnostics.
8. Leaderboards and public information
If you participate in leaderboards, your display name and score are visible to other players worldwide. Choose a nickname that does not reveal personal information. We may reset display names that are offensive or impersonate others. You can remove your leaderboard presence by requesting account deletion (Section 12).
9. Who we share information with
- Unity Technologies — game services and analytics (processor);
- Google — AdMob advertising, Google Play billing, Google sign-in;
- Apple — App Store billing, Apple sign-in;
- Advertising partners of Google — for ad serving and measurement, as described in Section 6;
- Service providers acting under our instructions and under contract;
- Authorities where disclosure is required by law;
- In the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process and store data on servers located outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Transfers from Türkiye are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK.
11. How long we keep information
- Analytics data: up to 13 months;
- Account and leaderboard data: until your account is deleted, after which it is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period (typically 30 days);
- Purchase records: as long as required by tax and commercial law;
- Support emails: as long as needed to handle your request;
- Local save data: on your device, until you delete it.
12. Your rights and deleting your data
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the EU/UK, your local data protection authority; in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK). Turkish users additionally have the rights listed in Article 11 of the KVKK.
To delete your account and data:
We confirm deletion requests within a few days and complete them within 30 days. Deletion covers your account, display name, leaderboard entries, analytics data and other server-side data associated with your account.
Note: uninstalling the App deletes your local save but does not delete server-side data — please request account deletion first if you want everything removed.
California and other US states: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. If an applicable state law grants you rights of access or deletion, you can exercise them via the contacts above.
13. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country, up to 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly serve personalized ads to children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at support@crewmedya.com and we will delete it promptly.
14. Security
Data transmitted by the App is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We and our service providers apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
15. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking technologies. Our hosting provider may keep short-term technical logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and operations.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. For material changes we will also provide notice in the App.
